National Junior Honor Society recognizes students who exemplify the pillars of
service, leadership, character, scholarship, and citizenship.
A student is eligible to apply based on academic criteria after the second quarter of sixth, seventh, and eighth grade. If a student applicant demonstrates all five pillars of the NJHS they are inducted during a ceremony in the Spring. Members are expected to maintain academic excellence as well as uphold the other criterion upon which they were accepted. NJHS members lead service projects, make presentations for younger students, and fulfill other duties throughout the school year.
