Book Report Required Elements
Grade 5
Directions: Students write a three paragraph book report on "From The Mixed- Up Files Of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler"
AND ONE of the following biographies: Saint Thomas Aquinas OR Saint Rose of Lima.
Create a three-paragraph book report including the following elements:
All paragraphs are to include 5 or more complete sentences.
First Paragraph: Introduction, which includes the book title, author, and brief description of the subject of your book.
Second Paragraph: Description of 2-3 interesting facts you learned from the book.
Third Paragraph: Briefly summarize the main points of the book.
You should include the following in your report:
State you opinion of the book and make your recommendations. Did you enjoy the book? Has the book inspired you? How?
Reminders:
Read the entire book before you write the book report.
Be sure to indent the beginning of each paragraph.
Use grammar and spell check if typing report.
Refer to the rubric for guidelines.
Type your book report or you may write it on lined theme paper in your neatest handwriting.
Be sure to include supporting details for each new or interesting fact.
Have your full name on both the book report and rubric.
Hand the finished work in on Friday, September 15th.
