• Pumpkin Dissection

The students and I got to dissect a pumpkin. We took note of how the pumpkin looked before it was cut; orange, big and bumpy. Next we felt the outside to see how it felt; smooth, hard, and cold. Then we cut into the pumpkin. We first observed the smell of the pumpkin; stinky was the unanimous decision. We then looked inside to see how it looked; orange, gooey, yucky, and gross. Next came the best part we got to stick our hands in the pumpkin, take out the seeds and see how it felt; gross, slimy and sticky were just a few of the reactions. We really had a lot of fun with our pumpkin dissection.
